Winter in Vancouver and Victoria
Discover the charm of their snow-covered landscapes and experience adventures you’ll never forget
Kingswood
Kingswood is the only camp that offers a dual program at the world-famous University of British Columbia, located in Downtown Vancouver, and at premium accommodation in Victoria on Vancouver Island as part of its standard curriculum. In winter, our program focuses exclusively on the University of British Columbia. Additionally, we are the only camp situated on the Pacific Ocean.
Upon arrival, students will be taken to the University of British Columbia to stay there for about 7 to 8 days, where they will experience all the major attractions that Vancouver has to offer, such as Stanley Park, Science World, Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, and Whistler, as well as an incredible skiing session at Seymour, Grouse, or Cypress.
In the last few days, students will travel to Vancouver Island, Victoria, via a ferry tour filled with adventure and stunning views.
This elite program includes four hours of English classes each morning, Monday to Friday, along with class projects, debates, and inter-class activities that emphasize communication skills.
Students are assigned classes based on their English abilities after taking entry placement tests upon arrival.
Oral skills are emphasized, while teachers also incorporate grammar, reading, and writing skills, resulting in remarkable performance by the students.
The curriculum follows the syllabus of the internationally recognized association Languages Canada, and all teachers are screened and certified ESL instructors.
With the expertise of Kingswood’s teachers, students develop their language skills, build confidence, and foster a love for language while enjoying themselves safely in a foreign country.
Students will visit local landmarks and attractions and participate in activities such as skiing classes, ice skating, tubing, and much more.
There are also incredible excursions to the most emblematic places in Vancouver and Victoria.
In the evenings, students are encouraged to take part in games that emphasize team-building and self-reflection.
All activities are supervised by our highly qualified and trained counselors, following the British Columbia Camps Association guidelines.
All Kingswood counselors live on-site to provide 24-hour care and supervision, and students have access to all amenities at the world-class campus facilities.
